Klefbom out for a while. Sounds like maybe a broken hand. This has to help Nurse out a little right? He takes the top PP job I’d think.

Ok - I’m not up to speed on the Oilers farm system. I’ll keep an eye on the oilers team thread and see if they call one of those guys up. Thanks EB!

Bad break for Oscar. He was finally playing like he could and making a difference.
Bouchard can't be called up as he's playing in the OHL now. Ethan Bear is a possibility but he plays the right side. Caleb Jones is a possibility but I doubt he'd see much playing time for the Oilers and should probably continue to improve in Bakersfield.
My moneys on Chia doing something stupid and trading too much away for some plug.
Nurse, yeah.
He got 30min last night at the lion's share of PP1 with 3:00.
And he did just fine.
Good time to own Darnell Nurse!!!

Bad news for Koskinen/Talbot owners too.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
He can be called up, they would just burn a year of his entry level deal to do it. He has looked good in London, and it is Edmonton, so it wouldn't surprise me too much.
On the flip side of that, Hitchcock certainly isn't the coach to ask for a 19yr old Dman to be called up.

I added Nurse in my partial keeper. We’ll see where it goes.

The 30 minutes makes sense. Happens to most Dmen when one of the key guys leaves a game early. Of the existing guys on the roster Nurse makes the most sense to QB a PP. I wouldn't want to draw conclusions based on a half-a-game sample with 5Dmen, but the early stats are promising for him.
My money is still on Bean though. You don't call him up to kill penalties, and someone has to come up. Bean is next in line.

I'll sniff out a proper source if no reputable soul backs me up here once I have some free time but my understanding of the CHL/NHL agreement is that it does not permit a player to be called up once he begins his junior season. As soon as he starts playing in the CHL he must finish his season there before being released to his NHL club or their AHL affiliate.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't realise there was an emergency recall condition. Also I wasn't aware of the condition that the NHL team can grab the player once he finished the WJC tournament.
Emergency recalls from junior are very rare, and they need to make at least one emergency recall from the AHL first I believe. Even then, I believe it's only for short period of time.
And recalling after the WJC means only if he was loaned to the WJC from NHL roster, not otherwise.
And EB probably meant Bear, not Bean, right? Unless I've missed some trade there.
Thanks for all the clarifications guys.
And yes, I did mean Bear, not Bean. Thanks for catching that.
