I would prefer to have Malkin unless the centre thing makes him a lot less valuable.

My Malkin for his Gaudreau
Malkin has been ice cold lately. He's averaged about 3 shots a game through his career and is only at 2 this year. I also drafted him assuming he was only going to play 65-70 games. His PIM's give him an edge over Gaudreau plus averaging over a point per game through his career helps also. He's currently ranked 41 in our league.
Gaudreau seems to be rolling with all his advanced stats pointing towards a fairly sustainable pace. He's currently ranked 16 in our league.
If Malkin stays healthy then he has a slight edge over Gaudreau.
Is this ill advised to be trading Malkin away?

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
Keep Malkin. He checks more boxes in your cats as well. Don't be worried about the injury risk because finding a 2-5 game fill in is more about matchup/weekly needs vs long term.
Yep--keep Malkin with your categories.
