Toss up really but the dr.dre mcjesus duo are really clicking and are showing no signs of slowing down. That being said, the top line and PPP in Florida is equally good but I think Draisaitl has the slight edge just because McDavid.
I own both guys, but just wondering how you think they'll compare rest of season and going forward production wise?
I mean I see them both as guys who can consistently put up 70+ pts with upside for 80+.
They have similar goal output so far in their careers, with Barkov having more goals but having played more games.
I think Barkov will probably have more shots year to year, but Draisaitl is shooting this year more than he normally does (on pace for 218).
I like that both guys are efficient shooters, they are both set up guys but I think can score 25-35 in any given year.
Both only 23 as well, so lots of room for growth.
I'm happy to have Barkov signed to 4 years currently, and I'll be signing Draisaitl to 2 after this season (as well as Boeser) who is my rookie carry-over. Keller will be my new 4 year.
Draisaitl gets a lot of hate in Edmonton it seems, but the guy produces. Lots of high paid guys play with other high paid guys (ie: Benn/Seguin), so I don't get why everyone is so fixated about him being split from McDavid. They have great chemistry together, and yeah he may get less points if he spends time on the 2nd line, but that's due to a lack of depth vs him not being a high end guy. He's not McDavid obviously, but he can still produce on whichever line he's on.
Draisaitl has the added bonus of being a c/rw in my league.

Similar ceilings but give the edge to Draisaitl due to McDavid.
I say always bet on talent because circumstances can change. Barkov by a mile in that regard. Edmonton would gladly make the trade I reckon Drai does make a lot of hay when he's winging it with McDavid (as he is again now) but his true talent shows when he's asked to centre his own line. Barkov gets his points playing top competition night in night out - the guy's a stud pure and simple. If he can start producing on the powerplay more he'll be a 90 point guy to boot
i say Barkov. Drai can get pulled from the McD line. Barkov can't be pulled from the Barkov line.

Another vote for Barkov , is there a thing this guy can’t do?
