    Default Nolan Patrick

What’s the long term outlook on him? I really haven’t watched him play and don’t know if he has superstar potential or maybe falls into the “pretty good” category.

I’m kinda in a rebuild/transition mode this year and could have a trade offer of Horvat and Patrick for Seguin. At this point I feel like Seguin is the easy choice to keep, but if I decide to go into full rebuild maybe I should be considering something like this...if Patrick could blossom to the elite level in a couple years.
    League 1: 16 Teams. 8 Keepers. Weekly H2H
F (Start 6): Barkov, J.Hughes, Zibanejad, E. Kane, Buchnevich, Kopitar, Coyle, Trocheck
D (Start 4): Josi, Hamilton, Toews, Hanifin, Pionk, Clarke, Korchinski
    G (Start 1): Vasilevskiy, Daccord

    Point System
    G=2, A=1, D-man G/A=+1, PIM=0.5, +/-=0.5, Shot=0.1, PPG=1, PPA=1
    Goalie Points
    W=4, S= 0.14, GA=-1, OvertimeW=1, ShootOutW =1, ShutOut=2

League 2: 12 Team Dynasty League - 30 man roster plus 7 farm.
Keep 20 + 7 farm. Weekly H2H Roto. G, A, Shots, Hits, Blocks, PPP, Goalie W, SV%, GAA. Forward Positional Requirements.

Having watched only 3 or 4 flyers games this season:

not everyone jumps in to an nhl roster from their draft year and produces on some level, so that tells me his game is acceptable / now he will warm up to the tempo. Opportunity in the next few years should have him as a lock for a top6.

If I owned him, I’d expect approx 50 pts for the First few years of production..points may be dependant on opportunity. He doesn’t look at lethal as hischier out there.

Seguin should get you Patrick + Horvat if the other team is going for it.

I see Patrick projecting as a really good real life 2nd liner. I don't see the upside for him as a no 1 contributor in fantasy. I'd keep Seguin.
    Set roster weekly in H2H (Mon to Sun) - 16 Teams - start 6F, 3D, and 1G per week - Keep 2

    Points: 2 G / 2 A / 1 PPG / 1 PPA / 1 Hat Trick / 1 SHG / 1 SHA / 1 GWG - 3 Goalie Win / 2 Goalie Loss in SO or OT / 5 goalie SO

    Forwards:
    C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund

    Defense:
    B. Burns, J. Klingberg, R. Josi, J. Slavin

    Goalie:
    J. Binnington

    IR (2 max):

With player like Benn, Seguin, MacKinnon, Barkov, Keller, Meier, Toews you are in rebuild/transition mode?!? You better find a way to make a trade for a solid goalie and another good D-man than giving a guy in his prime for two younger but not that proven players. Patrick could be a solid 2nd line center in this league but hes also injury prone(some people may forget that).

I feel like Patrick is a good value buy if you can get him relatively cheap. What is relatively cheap? Will vary from league to league but if you can get him and not have to depend on him for the next little while (couple seasons) I think you will make out pretty good.

MacKinnon and Barkov are new adds to my team this year, and that’s why my goalie and d situation are weak. We’re going down to 6 keepers next season so I’m retooling to try to get the best 6 I can and best draft position possible this year rather than go for the win.

The knock on Patrick going into the draft was his skating. Hes in year 2 and still struggles with skating. Hes a 2nd line player at best. A 3rd on a really good team

Is Patrick worth a pickup in my league?
Do u think he will become fantasy relevant the next years?

Or would you add a guy like Cernak in my league?good peripherals like Gudas...only younger

Patrick for me falls into the really good catagory. his draft year wasnt exactly elite like we have been accustomed to seeing, so being the 2OA pick carries some unwarranted pedigree, (as well as Hichiers 1OA status IMO). i would pass on that offer..

On your team, I'd rather have Patrick than Hintz. Cernak has value, but he'd be your 7th D with no real prospect of surpassing the others barring injury or retirement. Cernak now is close to being what he will ever be.

    Really?
    I honestly like Hintz

My thought was to drop Palat for Patrick!?!

Edit: Sorry forgot to put Palat into my Sig.

If you like Hintz, by all means keep him. We do this for fun. But given your small roster size, I don't see Hintz ever turning into a player you'd lean on in your league. Patrick has a chance to do that.
