"Hyping" the crowd up while being escorted off the ice probably didn't help his case.
Those of you who don't use Twitter may have missed this incident yesterday. Blackhawks prospect (50th overall in 2016) Artur Kayumov was suspeneded for 13 games in the KHL after an incident where he hit a player to the head and then punched a linesman in the aftermath.

"Hyping" the crowd up while being escorted off the ice probably didn't help his case.
Looks like the video has been removed from Twitter, but is still available.
But to somewhere:
- first he takes a head shot at somebody, when hitting him from behind into the boards;
- the he deliberately sucker punches a ref in the face; and
- tops it off by waving his arms in the air and trying to pump up the crowd.
If this is what the KHL tolerates, I'm not even sure I'd consider this to be a hockey league.
That's odd. Well, here's my video of the situation (missing the 3rd part, though): https://twitter.com/JokkeNevalainen/...10033331679232
Here's the league's explanation of the suspension. He got 4 games for the hit and 8 games for injuring an official.
