Does he have a D that's less reliant on scoring for production? That would entice me more than Ghost would in this setup.

Only one worth owning over Ghost is Letang and don't think he'll be open to giving up the better F and D.

If both buys are clear keeper for you then I would do this deal. The average production per player averages out to be perfectly even on both sides of the trade and Aho is much younger and has a ton more upside than Simmonds who is slowly but surely declining at this point. Ghost has had a terrible start but he will turn it around.

The downgrade from Hedman to Ghost is much smaller than the upgrade you get going from Simmonds to Aho.

I think I'd make that deal if it were me. Even with an admittedly down year so far, Gostisbehere isn't all that far behind Hedman (2.6 to 3.2), and I believe Gostisbehere is going to turn things around eventually. As far as this being a keeper is concerned, I have no doubt having Aho long-term over Simmonds will be huge for you.

Worth noting that Hedman is also having a bit of a down year so id expect both gost and Hedman to pick it up in the future with heman being the better own. Aho VS Simmonds makes up for it imo. I like the Aho side overall.

I'd keep what you have. If I am a Simmonds owner, I would be willing to wait to see where he ends up at the trade deadline or in the off-season. I am also very high on Hedman to boot.
