I don't think I have seen a single person here say that they think that servers don't make good money when you include their tips.
One thing to be taking into consideration, is that depending on the restaurant and the time of year, it can be difficult for a server to get 40 hours a week. So 30 dollars an hour looks great, but if you are only able to get 12 hours a week, well that is not great even when you take the tips into account. I know that there were many nights where I was cut after 1 turn of 3 tables and nobody would switch with me. So, I would leave with 10 dollars and 2 hours at minimum wage. Again, not complaining about not making any money, but it isn't the same as somebody who has a consistent 40 hours a week being paid 30 dollars an hour.

That’s not the misinformation.
1) other restaurant staff are paid more
2) servers are paid less than minimum wage
3) servers are paid less compared to other jobs
4) servers are tipped based on performance
If you want regular hours and better pay, go to school for a job that commands that. The problem is somehow people think serving should be a top of range income career
Serve, definitely. Expect similar pay to any other part time job with irregular hours.
Again I say. I don’t think I know a single person who has said that servers don’t make good money. Who said that servers should be a top of range income career? You and I disagree as to whether or not it’s stressful or difficult, but that’s not the same. If you know people who think servers are underpaid or should receive as much as a doctor, I agree then; that’s silly. But I don’t know anybody who thinks like that.
