I can't find it on the internet anywhere... but on The Score App Holmgrem is quotes as saying
There is also another interview of Holmgrem suggesting that if he can find goalie help he will do it before hiring a new GM. Sounds like he was tired of being behind the scenes.Hextall had his plan and he was sticking to it.

Sounds like upper management were dissapointed that Hextall didn't fire Hakstol and hire Quenneville immediately.

So the assistant coach and assistant GM expressed their concern and said they supported Hextall and now the Flyers let them go to?
This seems extremely weird to me. You cannot tell me something happened in the last two days that changed their minds to fire these two as well.
Why would they have not fired them all at the same time?

Personnel usage aside, it annoys me that it appears as if a big reason Hextall got fired is because he recognized how useless and outdated the "we're the tough guy, rough-and-tumble Flyers, don't mess with us!" mentality is. Definitely a step in the wrong direction.
