Help Making Fair Trade Offer
IÂ’m in a 5 Keeper, 12 man banger league. H2H
My goalies are Dubnyk, Smith, Lehner and Campbell. IÂ’m not doing very well in the goalie stats.
One of the players has declared heÂ’s looking for draft picks in an asset fire sale. I offered 8th and 12th and Smith for his Bobrovsky, Tyson Barrie and 18th 19th picks.
He didnÂ’t think that was fair.
Would 8th and 9th from me, everything else same, be worth it?

I assume that by 8 and 9 you mean your 8th and 9th round picks as opposed to the 8th and 9th overall picks, correct? If I'm right then I don't think your offer is anywhere near what it would/should take to acquire Brob and Barrie. Those picks would have to be much, much better.

Thanks for the answer and you are right I’m referring to my 8th and 9th. I should also point out that Bob would cost a 1st rounder to keep next year while Barry would be a 4th so almost certain that neither of them would be kept, so basically rentals for this year.
With that in mind would a 6th and 10th make any sense along with Mike Smith. Does it have to better still? 5th and 10th?

you're looking at first and second round picks to acquire those two.

I think that you need to be in the top 6 rounds for either of them, even if they are rentals. Now if you have an asset which is cheap to keep that you're willing to deal, that may work, but these guys were valued as top 4 round talents at the draft, which effectively made them rentals at that point. So with some of the season gone, they are worth less, but not a ton less this early.

I would not give those 2 up for less than 2 high picks personally so I think you need to step up big time on that offer
