Default Malkin in today’s Ramblings. Trade him ?

Points based scoring. Keep 3. Team and scoring in signature.

Just finished reading today’s Ramblings. All the flags about Malkin.

Being a Pens fan I am Pittsburgh biased and need some input.

Malkin & Kessel as a pair should fetch a good return.
Team 1: Hall, Eichel, Marner, Burns
    Team 2: Seguin, Kane, Stamkos
    Team 3: Ovechkin, Kuznetsov, Giroux

The Red Flags mentioned in the Ramblings has me thinking should I move Malkin. My gut says keep him. Thoughts ?

Malkin and red flags to be honest is an overreaction to short-term stats. Yes, he is not going to finish the season with 120+ points but should give you 90-100, if healthy. And how many players can give you that production? We're not talking about a new guy here. We're talking about Malkin, who has 2nd highest PPG in the league in the last 5 years (https://www.quanthockey.com/nhl/seas...ers-stats.html). Only injuries are a concern with him. He will give you PPG+ yet again this year, and the next, and probably the one after. Don't trade him unless you get a superstar in return.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

VincentVega, appreciate the step away from the edge information. I expect injury time with Geno. I also feel he will give me 80+ points depending on health.

he'll give you 80+ with injuries 95+ without.

78 gp last year - we saw the result. The smartest play with Malkin is for Pitt to manage his GP throughout the first half of the season. Seriously. give him second games of B2B off the odd time. if he skipped 3 gp as a healthy scratch now... gotta wonder what that would do come Feb/Mar.
