Many believe he has turned into a 60-point player but I'm not buying it. 45-50 points is my prediction. If you count hits, though, he is a beast in that category.
The guy has been a top multicat performer this season and the offers are rolling in. Does he sustain? I had a chat with a guy who said calgary cut bait because of drinking issues. So even if he has a big year then its a summer of celebration? Also he had some nice streaks going in calgary but still only looked like a 40 point guy. Thoughts?

I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
And it seems like he's already lost his precious spot on the Aho line. If he is moved off it for a prolonged time, even 50 points is a stretch.

I am having similar difficulty deciding. His hits are whats making it difficult for me to decide. While I think he still could be a 60 point player, 50 - 55 is probably more likely. But his HITS are tough to replace with any relative similar scoring.
I am currently considering offering him for Mantha + Valimaki. But Mantha has just looked so bad so far I am undecided.
While I think the chances are low, Ferland still might have taken a step forward and really become this player. Which if true, would be an eventual regret to move him.

This is actually a fairly good question I think. With Ferlands current production in Multi cat, especially with HITs, what would a fair "sell high" look like? I have been having terrible trouble finding a player to move him for that will mimic and maintain his current production.
Last year I would have tried moving him for Landeskog, but since Landeskog has blown up this year, that's certainly not possible.
Basically, anything I have been offered for Ferland right now would be at a pretty significant loss of production and I am running out of ideas. At this point, I might be thinking it better to just hold him and see how he produces rest of the year.

You probably won't get fair value for him i'd hold.
It's nice and all to wave the "sell high" magic wand but it only moves your team forward if you actually land someone who can sustain this level of production the rest of the year.
The question here is not whether or not to sell high. The question is what are you getting in return if you trade him. Put him on the trade block and then evaluate the offers that come in. Or better yet find a slumping star player and use Ferland as bait in the offer.

I traded him for Ehlers this week
I was thinking of tossing that offer out there as ehlers is getting minutes back and ferland is falling off

Not sure a sane E Kane owner would go for it. I certainly wouldn't. @ericdaoust nailed it with his post and I'll echo putting him on the block and evaluating the offers. Likely they won't be enough and the best course of action becomes more clear, keep him. If you find a star player you love try trading a lesser star player plus Ferland to land the better star player.
The return is the key to selling high. Even when some players are performing really well you aren't able to move them for their performance, often it's just name recognition in a lot of leagues and Ferland doesn't have it.

He’s a top 20 player in our categories!
If your league scores shots and hits, he's a monster. Don't even bother trying to sell him at this point, you'll never get fair value. He's the only player in the NHL with 5+ goals (he has 9) and 50+ Hits. He is on pace to finish with 277 SOG and 250 Hits ... good luck replacing that. Even at his career average Shooting % he would be projected to finish with 30 goals.
