I thought his hand hit into the goal post or something when I first saw it. looked like he was flexing the hand but the arm wasn't moving so who knows.

Things on the play:
- He was moving his elbow, and hand before he moved his shoulder (as in testing). Could have gone numb.
- Shoulders are a complicated joint, you can injure the same shoulder, but different part.
- Bad news when hearing he will instantly be out for Mondays game
- Leafs won't rush him back. They have the center depth to handle this
- Does nothing to the Nylander situation. The Leafs cap issues aren't this yr, so not like an LTIR trip means anything to Nylanders contract. It MAY help Toronto on Matthews contract though.
- Better to happen now than in April?

I am not sure we can go there yet. He did play 82 his first season and missed 20 last year. Two out of three seasons with extended time on the DL is a concern, but still premature for that label yet. If we see it again next season, then we can certainly start to consider it.
