I will give some points for Silver being the best (he's only been the Commish for 5yrs):
    - League promotes stars. However it's easy when they can play 40/48minutes
    - The money generated in TV deals and what not is insane
    - Women being hired as coaches
    - How he dealt with Donald Sterling and full on getting him out of the league
    - He works very closely with the video game (NBA2K) with tournaments and what not. It's actually massive for the league
    - His work with LGBT community. NBA always is in the NY Pride parade and he's walking in it. The openness of promoting "everyone can play" is large.
    - The WNBA is like the only working model for female sports league.
    - He's created a league where it dominates the news for months in the offseason with the ability for star players to move in their prime twice. Which promotes sales in a LOT of areas.
    - He's had 0 controversy in the league compared to David Stern. Stern very much saved the league, but he was pretty dirty at doing it. From the frozen envelope, to Jordan's retirement, to multiple lockouts, multiple teams being moved. So it's also just how well Silver has done in comparison to Stern is insane.

Thanks for the info, and now that you mention it, it starts to make a little bit of sense.

Ya Stern saved the league for the owners, Stern and Silver together made the players a ton of money, and now Silver is making the league just great outside of the actual games. Silver isn't just working to make the owners money like Bettman, or isn't a puppet like Goodell.

The League dominance in the states is still NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL. But the gap between NFL and NBA is shrinking, in a few yrs it very well could see NBA being the "big" sport in the States. And who would have guessed that 6yrs ago (before Silver fully took over)? So I put that growth on Silver.

The most Kawhi could earn with LAC in 2021 (if he does not opt-in) is 4yr/196mill

Because of early bird rights, Leonard is not eligible to sign a 5yr/253mill

221mill (SAS) to 190mill(TOR), to 141mill (LAC) to now 103mill(LAC) - he has left 118mill on the table.

They have the ability to get to the finals.

Honestly once in the finals, anything can happen due to injury, coaching, fatigue. Just get there and play.

Nurse is a rockstar. Raptors are legit to the point where Stephen A Smith even acknowledged them as a legit threat. And he hates them.

This is exciting news. They start there defense shortly right? Playoffs are supposed to start tomorrow?

I understand there is a play-in round? That only involves a couple teams?

NBA did a really cool way of restarting the league.

8 games to end the regular season. IF team #9 is within 4 games, they play #8 seed for that 8th and final playoff spot in a "2 game series". Team #9 has to win 2 games in a row to take the #8 spot, if #8 wins 1 game, they're in.

    1st round starts August 17th
    Raps schedule....Aug 17th (4pm), Aug 19th (1:30pm), Aug 21 (1:30pm), Aug 23 (6:30pm), Aug 25, Aug 27, Aug 29

    2nd round August 31st
    3rd round Sept 15th
    Finals Sept 30th

That play in round is Memphis vs Portland. Portland needs to win 1 out of 2 games, Memphis needs to win 2 of 2.

That is really cool. Definietely unique and makes a lot more sense than what the NHL did.

I bet Pittsburgh/Edmonton/Nashville are wishing that the NHL did something similar to that.

To just show how good the Raps have been, they can finish the season at 53-19 (72GP), Bucks who are the states take on the team to beat finished 56-17 (73GP).

Raps finished 2.5-3.5 games behind them with a ton of injuries this yr. Raps are 9-1 in their last 10, Bucks are 3-7. Philly plays Boston in the first round (1 of the raps obstacles are gone after the first round). Raps get to avoid the Bucks until the Conference finals too.

Raps are ready to repeat. If they lose before the semi-finals, it's a failed season.

As a part-time fan I knew the Raptors were doing way better than anyone expected with Kawhi gone and all the injuries... but I didn't know they were that good again. Hopefully none of their games coincide with hockey games I wanna watch too much!

Expecting another deep run where they just go about their business in rounds 1 and 2 and hope for the best if they meet the Bucks.

I mean, I think they can do more than hope for the best against the Bucks haha.

Sounds like the Bucks could pull a Pittrsburgh Penguins and lose to the bottom seed.. if they are only 3-7 in their last 10 they are obviously not playing their best.
