    His replacement is FVF.

Also wouldn't be surprised if Dragic gets moved.

They already paid Van Vleet big money to be Lowry's replacement and he's earned it. Then there's Malachi Flynn (their 1st rounder last year) waiting in the wings after FVV... they are good at PG.

Barnes is the right call in terms of "positional need", but Suggs would have been a safer bet.

I remember in the 1995 draft when the crowd at the Skydome were yelling "O'Bannon, O'Bannon" once the Raps came up at 7th pick overall. They chose Mighty mouse and turned out to be a great pick. So grain of salt with this pick I guess. Lots of fans went home very unhappy that night lol.

Was there ever any doubt. I always laugh at those who think he's the GM of the club primarily because he's the face of the front office.

No shock. He was on the draft floor with the Raps. I'd assume the league would step in, or the Raps would want some pretty big compensation if he went to a different team.

I did hear before his deal could be record setting across NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL tho.

NBA season is done! Next up is the play in tourney this week between Nets, Hornets, Cavs and Hawks.

Raptors finished 5th in the East at 48-34. 3 games behind the division leader Boston (76ers tied them with the same record). Finished 24-17 at home AND away. Barnes is up for ROY. Raps dealt with injuries all yr it seemed like. Nurse revolutionized load management with Kawahi and did the complete opposite it seems like this yr. You can argue what you want from the longevity of this strategy, but now you can argue they are prepared physically to be run into the ground during the playoffs. The conditioning of this team is reaaaallly good.

Now they are up vs the 76ers in the playoffs that start Saturday. Raps are the road team, so they only get the 3 games at home vs the 76ers and this is important because Doc Rivers confirmed Thybulle is ineligible to play in Toronto due to vaccine status. He was a guy the Raps were offered for Lowry (in a package) at the deadline last yr and Toronto passed to show a gauge of his talents. Could have been they didn't want to help the 76ers, could have been they knew of potential vaccine issues, could have nothing to do with that stuff.

Raps finished 3-1 vs the 76ers in the regular season and all games were close.

Embid has to show up, Sixers in 7, I hope not but I feel he will be on a mission. Kind of like M&M with the Leafs this year.

He got 30pts/10rebounds the last game they played the raps, he'll need 40pts/15rebounds for them to win it feels like and he can do it especially vs a non-traditional center team like Toronto.

Boucher foul trouble is the x-factor for the Raps, and Harden the x-factor for the 76ers to me.

Oh yea forgot about Harden, yes do or die for him for sure, but hasn't always been that with him? Anyways it will be a great series though.

I dunno if it's been he's choked, or his style of getting to the line which opens up future offensive opportunities don't mesh in the playoffs. The same was with Derozan. Once you stop calling fouls these guys offensive styles get destroyed. But unlike Derozan, Harden is a bad attitude so instead of knowing his limitations he tries to hero-ball his way out of issues. However last yr he just like melted away on the Nets. So he could be a bad teammate and not realize he shouldn't be the center piece in this offense during crunch time and remove Embiid himself. Or he can realize Toronto is going to let everyone besides Embiid beat them on the 76ers and take his shots when they come to him.

Good thing for the Raps is a week off and to get the rest those top 7 guys need.

Between the Celts, 76ers and Bucks... I think the Raps got the best matchup possible. Bucks and Celts would have ended us. 76ers could very well choke... depends on which Harden shows up

Def potential for an upset here the way Raps are playing

What a fun team and amazing system. Go Raps.

Can't say I'm a fan of these play in games though.

I know with COVID 6th wave going on it's going to be a bit odd seeing it but it's a fun time. I went a few times in 2018-19 and you are shoulder to shoulder with people for the whole game. Outside at least.

Man those injuries hurt. Barnes, Thad Young, GTJ are all huge pieces gone if they don't play today and if they play, huge pieces that are not at 100%.

Embiid was gifted non-calls so he wasn't thrown out. Not surprised.
