For me it's gotta be Dougie Hamilton.

He's routinely highly ranked in Dobber pre-season rankings as an elite defenceman. I've drafted him every year for the past 3 seasons, foolishly knowing that he's a notorious second half performer, but also lacking the patience to make it there.

Two seasons ago: Dropped him and he went off in the new year
Last season: Managed to trade him away in a package to a Flames fan, and again he exploded in the second half of the season
This season: Stupidly went back to the well on draft day and just couldn't stomach it given his usage and got rid of him mid-November – never felt better

He almost fooled us this season with his outburst on his first few games of 2019 (talk about setting your watch to it) but since he has fallen back to exactly what he is – a SOG streamer and nothing else.

This isn't to say he isn't a very talented player (he is) but he's just screwed me over in fantasy so many times that it's comical at this point.

Way to prove me wrong Gus!

But to add another to the list. Prior to this year I had given up on Parise. Holy crap did he steal Eric Staal's rejuvenating juice this season?

Hamilton starting to get therw but a trade could see him go supernova. I thunk he just needs deployment.

Klefbom getting there but hus underlying metrics were actually solid af prior to injury.

I gave up on Lindholm in the exavt wrong year aftwr 3 years of overdrafting.

El Nino- just wont perform for me but now that ive traded him hes gonna go top 20 RW mode again.

The biggest one is ghost bear. I bkught a team in a league that was heavily D focused to build around him. I overpaid like crazy in a salary cap dynasty (P Kane) because that contract was gorgeous and foolishly worried about Kaners contract. Then because i had him in two i made what i thought was a slight overpayment offer in Reilly (to) only to watch morgan explode this year- figured hed be good but not this good which would sting leas if ghost did ANYTHING- lol!

So even thoigh i have him in every league (and no im not going to aell for pennies on the dollar)- ghost wins it for me.

Historical names for me are Osullivan Radulov (pre-comeback) Filatov and i bought in on Schremp in multiple leagues too...

it's funny... I held Parise in this category UNTIL this summer. He became a primary target in every league - was only able to obtain in in 2/5.

I'm not there. Not touching him. I feel like as quickly as this came for him it could disappear even faster.

I could be/am currently wrong but I've also come to peace with it. George Bush said it best. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me... Well.. Just don't for me twice.

Unless you consider the back surgery he had last season (he had put off for years). Once he returned to games - he said that was the best he had felt since he played in NJ. Pain free for the 1st time in 5 years.

Schneider. Thought he was a lock for solid save percentages year in year out, solid netminder for a championship win a few years ago. Now he's just hot garbage and never coming back

For simplicity sake, how about the blanket statement - I've given up on everyone & anyone Chiarelli signs or trades for.
