    Default Lawrence Pilut

    Who is he?
Seem pretty unknown to me even though he was named SHL d-men of the year last season.
Right now he's only 22 and has 10 points in only 6 games in the AHL with Buffalo's affiliated club.
What are your thoughts on him? Does he has the offensive upside to eventually be a top-4 def and take over 2pp(behind Dahlin of course)?

20 points in 14 Games now with a plus 14. Klingberg lite? Different situation of course as Risto and Dahlen will command lion share but a very interesting prospect to me. He was a standout in the preseason in the games I watched.

I wonder how Buffalo will fit him in..

If only he was in Montreal, Vancouver or some other weak D team...

I'm hesitant to pick him up because of that..

Buffalo's defense is terrible and they should have no problems finding room for Pilut. I'm guessing they want some time to get Dahlin into his groove at the NHL level, and when they feel they don't need to shelter him, they can call up Pilut and give him sheltered minutes to start with.

Dahlin, Ristolainen and Pilut should be the three defenders getting PP time eventually as well. Pilut is very unlikely to get top PP unit usage but it's possible to put up decent numbers from the 2nd unit as well.

He's now up to 22 points in 15 games as he had a goal and an assist tonight. He's also on a 7 game point streak.

Not so fast people, Pilut was healthy-scratched twice and shipped back to the minors.

Someone to keep an eye on for sure. He shares the lead in points at the quarter pole in the AHL. Not bad for a defenceman in his first year in NA.

Pilut was called up again today. Apparently some of Sabres' defenders are a bit banged up.

first time he was an emergency call up, but there was no expectation he would start. they already had a Dman to step in for Scandella... but at some point, they gotta put skate to ice.

edit: it won't be tonight, not dressing.
