    Default Rantanen vs Draisaitl

So this is for my team in my SIG as you can see I'm very deep at Center so looking to add a little onto the wing, my league allows 7 players max per position on your roster none of my 7 C's are bad enough to drop so I'm looking for a trade and an offer of Rantanen for my Draisaitl came up is this a deal worth taking guess it helps having MacKinnon (big fan of duos), thoughts on if I should take this offer or look elsewhere.

If you already have MacKinnon then I would make the deal. I would rather have a pair to increase my chances of finishing first or last.

Trading from a position of strength is always a smart move. I like the deal.

I can vouch for the awesomeness that is the MacKinnon-Rantanen combo, I pulled in 7pts from those two last night. Rantanen is even looking more dominant than Mack to start the season and 11 of his 13pts have been even strength so once the PP gets going they should get even better. It's conceivable that both can pass 90pts this year.

I would absolutely trade Draisaitl for Rantanen straight up. As a Rantanen owner however I wouldn't make the opposite trade so take it before the other GM changes his mind.

Also to note, Rantanen has assisted on all 7 MacKinnon goals.

I believe 7 or 8 of his pts are primary points as well rather than 'luckier' secondary assists. He's directly setting up his linemates for scoring chances all over the place.

He's also shooting around 11% and his average the last couple of years is closer to 15.6% , so a few more goals should be on the way. His shot rates early on are pacing for around 210 compared to last year's total of 178 so that's an impressive uptick as well. 30-35 goals should be very achievable.

TOI and PP TOI/game are both up by nearly a minute so far compared to last year. This is a small sample size though so it might settle out lower as the year goes on.

Finally he passes the eye test as well. He's faster and stronger than he was last season and is realizing that he can make the game easier for himself and his linemates by throwing his frame around and making his own space. He is forcing defenders to focus on him and it opens up ice for Mack and Landy.

He has basically improved every facet of his game compared to last year and still gets very little attention from hockey fans or media. After this year there will be no more hiding him anymore

He is going to get PAID next summer.
