Jake Allen vs. Corey Crawford

8-team league with only counting W/SO's for goalie cats.

I currently have Allen but would you drop Allen for any of the goalies below? I'm thinking of picking up Crawford since he just came back from a concussion.

What about Price? One of the guys is contemplating on dropping Price but with a W/SO only cats, it doesn't seem like MTL will get many W's.

I would take both Crawford and Varly over Allen personally.

I would take them all over Jake Allen. I have zero faith in Jake Allen being a starting goalie after Christmas*.

*Full warning...I have been saying the same thing for each of the past 3 seasons and it has not happened yet but Ville Husso is getting closer every year.

Those are almost the perfect categories for Allen, who is a mediocre-to-average goalie on a good defensive team. If this is a one year, keep Allen.

If it's a dynasty, I'd be willing to take Price or Raanta over him easily, and maybe the other two. Partly based on Crawford's health, and how far away you are from contention in Lundqvist's case, as he's much safer to have a starting role.
