Pettersson for Dahlin
I know it's still very early, but how would you evaluate a Pettersson for Dahlin swap?
Everyone is talking to me about Pettersson, so the hype is real. The hype for Dahlin was just as high before the draft/season.
I still have Matthews and Scheifele at C, so I'm handcuffed with EP. Would it be worth it to trade him for a highly valued D man (both are ranked about 20 points higher than the next player, according to Dobber's numbers)? I've never had a stud D man, so this might be a great chance to get Dahlin. The owner of Dahlin, also has Karlsson, so he won't be losing his only star D man.
I'm going to wait no matter what, this just helps give some perspective.

Totally agree. For now Pettersson>Dahlin, the hype is so big around him that you could almost ask for anybody... EK is definitely in your reach.Originally Posted by Moses

I do believe the kool-aid is tasty on Pettersson, but asking for Karlsson is a bit of a reach if you ask me. You can ask, but I know I'd chuckle at you if you came that way with me. Only one way to find out.
As far as Pettersson for Dahlin, I think in a couple years this will be an excellent trade for both teams but right now the craziness around Pettersson is silly. If you are serious about trading Pettersson, put him out there for other teams to fire offers at you. If it's a stud Dman you want, just let others know this and see what you get for offers.
