    Default Early Keeper Choices

    G (2.5), A (2), +/- (.5), PPP (.5), SHG (2.5), SHA (2), GWG (1), SOG (.5), HIT (.3), BLK (0.3)

    Keep forever: 3 F, 2D, 1G

I know it's really early... but as of now I have 4 forwards that could be kept. Mackinnon is a sure thing, then I have Pastrnak, Tarasenko and Petterson (Filip Forsberg too). Out of those 3, who would you consider the odd man out? I have a hole at my second keeper D spot so I could potentially trade one of them for a defenseman. I know it's early and time may help sort this out but I'd like to get an early jump on this if possible.

    Thanks.

I would try to trade Forsberg - lowest ceiling of them all. By seasons end Pasta will be a must keep and I can see Pettersson giving you real pause. I wouldn't be shocked based on his start to see him go pt for pt with Tank this year (ending up low 70's) Which will become his floor very quickly. Going to be real hard to pass on EP's upside that's for sure

I'd offer up all of your F's and see who brings the best D return. You don't necessarily need to trade your weakest winger...

In this format Tarasenko is a monster that can give you 150 fantasy points from SOG alone. Him and Pastrnak are both must keeps, unless you can swing a deal for one or both of them.

That being said, I don't get why you don't just capitalize on the hype around Pettersson and trade him. It's such a limited keeper I don't know how another team could really afford to keep him at the cost of releasing top tier established talent.
