Default Any good option on FA?

I always build my team around good Ds and this year I am not really confident with Nurse and his early schedule.
Luckily, I was able to snatch Weber on the waiver.
His recent injury is the concern, but I know he is a monster in my setup.

Now I am looking for an FA option on the waiver until Weber comes back and drop Nurse.

    Edler
    Petry

    Cholowski
    Chabot
    Jokiharju

Can any of these options be a better replacement of Nurse?
Should I bet on any of those young talents?

Let me know your thoughts guys!

Petry is not only the most logical stopgap option for Weber, but he's a clear-cut upgrade over Nurse. Petry is going to contribute everywhere and a negative +/- is really the only drawback, although a significant one. Same goes for Edler, he will have likely more offensive production than Nurse (and opportunity) and the peripheral contributions will also be good. Nurse is a very good multi-cat contributor, but he just doesn't have the offensive upside that would put him over the top. Petry would be my first choice, Edler second.

Petry is the logical choice, but Edler would be fine too.

Petry for sure here too. He's a step above Edler IMO.

I would gamble and go Cholowski. He is going to get chance in Detroit. Chabot looks like he will be a stud, but the +/- may be scary. Gamble on the young guys.

I would play the hot hand. Chabot's +/- will be no worse than either Edler's or Petry and he is going great guns right now.

risky on +/- but I would go Chabot followed by Jokiharju

With Karlsson out I think Chabot will shine through OTT rebuild pains...

I decided to gamble with Cholowski, he ended up injured.
Then Jokiharju now, he has all the opportunity and started doing some hits and blocks.

But, I am tempted to add either Chabot or Edler.
I need some points and blocks from my D.
So, Edler is my best choice, but can he sustain his point production?

The main thing going against Edler is his health. When he’s healthy, he’s a reliable guy to have. The problem is he usual spends time on IR. But I’d grab him, and worry and if/when he gets injured later. He and Petry would have been my votes at the beginning of this thread.

I still don't mind Chabot as the hot hand right now. If he cools off drop him for Edler or Petry.

Look at Chabot as well, he is hot and #1 PP, if he cools down then grab the next hot guy.
