In the same boat here too! Traded my Ovechkin for Ehlers/Giroux (then traded Giroux for next to nothing before last year) and still waiting to reap the rewards lol.
Well here's hoping that tomorrows the rut buster. Carolina just played an exhausting game today in Minnesota, and fly to play WPG tomorrow. AND... Mrazek will probably be starting. If this isn't the perfect storm for WPG to go on a rampage of 8-10 goals and Ehlers getting a point or two I don't know when he will

I must be asleep at the wheel because I didn't realise it was that bad. I made a huge move in the off-season to acquire him in one of my deep keepers, might have thought twice if that stat was in front of me.

I'm not sure if it's the yips or whatever, but he certainly doesn't look like the same Ehlers out there. There were flashes of driving to the net like he needs to, but he is clearly a frustrated player right now and it's not going in for him, at. all.

It's not 5 games it's his deployment (which ain't changing) and the fact that not 5 games, but his last 40 games (going back to last year and the playoffs) he has 5 goals. 5. That's his production hitting a brick wall. I'm not dropping him no matter how bad he slumps, but expectations should be lowered IMO and I got burned.Sure let's all overreact after five games

How do we know anything in fantasy hockey? it's predicting the future....literally.
I'd say it's safe to say unless there is an injury, or one of the 5 PP guys gets as cold as Ehlers is than that top PP unit isn't changing. Scheifele, Connor, Wheeler, Buff, Laine... Do I know? of course not. Point is Ehlers has been atrocious for what amounts to half a season now. A trade would do him wonders IMO. I hope he gets dealt, I need him to wake up!

It's getting ridiculous now....thankfully I traded him but man oh man he's getting dropped in 2 of my other leagues. Watching the game last night he skates real fast and accomplishes very little.
Still on pace for 160 shots but going back to last year, we are hovering around 4 goals in his last 45-50 games. 9 gp, 0g, 3a, -6. Just horrendous.
Don't buy low, wait for him to be dropped!
