Joe Thornton on IR
Wasn't at practice this morning. Because he's on IR, he can't return until next Sunday, so a minimum of three games missed, all on the road (Islanders, Philly, Rangers). Next Sunday is against he Devils in New Jersey. No need to rush him back to play one game on the other side of the country.
My guess is he'll be back after that, against Buffalo at home. That would be Oct. 18. That's just a guess, but I don't know the severity of his injury.

Anyone feeling he could finally come back this week? He's been traveling and had a doubtful status for each contest, I'm of the opinion he could finally be back in the lineup
