    Default Dobbernomics 2018

Up to 443 teams registered for this year. Was hoping for 2500. If you didn't register, can you tell me why not? No time, no interest, too complicated...just trying to get a handle on it. This should have 1,000,000 teams the concept is so good...

I don't see why I need to end registration at all. So I am keeping it open all year. If you want to start a league in November and run it Nov-Apr with your friends, I don't see why not. It actually sounds fun! So in short - yes, still time!

You are in both the main group as well as your own league (if you start one). Your team appears on both lists. You compete with the world in both total fantasy points, as well as $ value of your team (if a player increases from $4M to $4.5M while you own him, and then you "sell" him, that $0.5M profit stays with your team - that's how your team $ value goes up or down)

I probably will join but I am not that enthused. In the past there were glitches in the setup that made me abandon my team. I can't remember exactly what they were but it had something to do with the number of transactions you had.

What will make me stop playing are the threads where people discuss all the undervalued players. It ruins the hunting if you can just open a thread and find the value plays from other people. Overall, I love the concept so we'll see.

I used to LOVE Smallworld, so I'm in this year.
It'll grow methinks. I just hope there are enough people involved to make player price fluctuations worthwhile (without being too overdramatic as well).

I agree with this point. Last year I had a 2 week stretch where not a single guy on my roster changed in value. That completely wrecks the point of the entire game.

I'm in this year, so I hope things go well. I'm worried about how much time I'll need to dedicate to it in order to succeed. I'll call this year a trial year.

When do player values start changing?

What affects player values? Is it points earned, times bought/sold or a combination of the 2?

So do we still have unlimited transactions? Are we able to see other teams lineups?

I didn't really realize it at first, but this is probably the big reason for me too. I'm not sure I'd play fantasy hockey at all if it wasn't for money. Who am I kidding, yes I would. It wouldn't be as engaging though, that's for sure.
