No case for Hanifin. It's Risto all the way. If you take into account Dahlin in Buf - then you need to take into account Giordano/Valimaki/Andersson/Kylington in Calgary - all I consider higher offensive upsides than Hanifin.
Point Only
Goals - 5
Assists - 3
PPP - 1
Is it easily Ristolainen or is there a case for Hanifin since his move to Calgary? Also taking into account Dahlin?s threat of PP1 time but Hanifin has Giordano in his way as well.
Edit: Shoot. This is for a one year league, not keeper. My mistake, wrong forum.

There's definitely a case for Hanifin especially in a league that rewards more for goals. I dont think Giordano is in his way for long.
I am one who thinks Hanifin is seriously on the rise. Once everyone else figures it out, it will be too late.

I can't give up on Risto yet. Nor can I assume Hanifin is gonna be the man in Calgary unless I see it. I think you have to take Risto unless something drastically changes in the future. Both Giordano and Brodie are gonna likely be gobbling up most of the PP time in Calgary, and then all the young bucks coming down the pike....
Even if Dahlin takes a chunk of PP 1 time in Buffalo I still think Risto will outpoint Hanifin. Just my two cents.

Ristolainen for sure. He's still one of the better PPP-producing Dmen in the league. I don't think Dahlin will usurp much value early on, and as seasons pass the rising tides will raise all ships in Buffalo.

I'm just not a big believer in Hanifin. I wish somebody could convince me I am wrong, but if Hanifin is ready to be a point-producer in Calgary, I think he would have shown signs of being a point-producer in Carolina. Faulk hasn't been doing anything for a couple of years now and Carolina has been desperate to find a replacement (hence why they made the deal for Hamilton, I feel).
Truthfully, I haven't watched Hanifin play much the last couple of years (if at all), so I can't be certain. I did watch him before he joined the NHL, but that was so long ago it hardly counts.
