I like Nylander more this year. Just a lot more space in Buffalo for him to push his way in. Thomas long term and more value at deadline. The STL Inn is full, to the stable he goes.

Nylander short term more than likely gets you more points but I think once Thomas gets a permanent spot on the roster, He is leaps and bounds better.

I don't think either of them will finish the season with more than 5 NHL points so neither of them have any value in a 1 year league. I also don't think any of them will have any trade value in February in a 1 year league. In a dynasty league, Thomas should have way more value in February.
