    Gardiner.

Eventually Edmonton will find a better option than Klefbom, either through the system (Bouchard, Bear, Jones) or through trade (Faulk, Ristolainen).

The safer pick is Gardiner, no doubt. But Klefbom could be the top D on EDM PP, that’s interesting. I see a bounce back season for Klefbom (+-40pts) Klefbom is also 3 years younger and he shoots way more than Gardiner. I’ll go Klefbom but it’s a risky choice!

Gardiner - he's a hit to your shots vs. Klef, but that'll be it.

thanks guys. my thinking is that the leafs will be scoring a lot 5v5 this year and i think they'll be better than the oilers for GA so gards should have a decent +/- , better than Klef
I look at Gardiner as a good 3D, guy you draft and then drop , hoping to pick someone up that would be my keeper moving forward

Its just the temptation of Oilers 1st PP QB and other than last year i would have had Klef as a pretty good 2D keeper but think bigger risk of him flopping again vs Gardiner on a one year

Don't underestimate the fact that Gardiner just became a first-time father. NHLers are slaves to their routines and his will be turned on its head all year. See Talbot last year (his family had twins early in).

Or see Jason Zucker last year.

I would go with Klefbom. Give me the dman on the first PP unit with McDavid, Draisaitl, Nugent-Hopkins.

with your stats i would take klefbom and im a leaf fan. I think edmonton will be much better this year which will take care of +-, if current unit sticks (and Babs is resistant to change) Gardiner will have secondary PP minutes this year. Klefbom shoots way more and non of them are any good for PIMs.

I would definitely go Klefbom. Younger too.

    McDavid/Necas/ Kucherov/Bjorkstrand/Rust/Nugent Hopkins/Cirelli/Zegras/- Letang/Morrissey/Dahlin - Swayman/Saros/Skinner

    Prospects include:
    McTavish/Clarke/Bordeleau
    Dumais/Korchinski/Hutson

Don't worry I'm not going to say anything more than I have to. If that.

Gardiner is good for points, that's about it. Klefbom could be an asset in multiple categories if he puts everything together with Edmonton PP1. I think I'll take the chance with Klefbom on this one. Any chance you could flip Gardiner for a pick? That would certainly make the decision a bit easier.

    GARDINER no doubts
Bouchard and Bear will be on pp 1 and 2 not Klefbom.
