Strategy for drafting D in multi cats
I think having the good defense is really important in my league especially for multi-cat purpose.
But, pretty much all the guys in my league dropped 2 or more defense.
I believe they all are gonna draft D earlier rounds and I want a good D in the first round(8th pick) before they are all gone.
Now, I am kinda confusing if I should go for a scoring D or multi-cat D.
OEL, Suter, Keith, Rielly, and Gardiner are available.
I like Dumba and Nurse, but would it be a waste of #1 pick?
Which kind of D should I aim for?

I think in leagues like yours, I don't really like to draft Dmen high in the draft who don't produce Hits/Blocks along with their offense. I would be looking at Dumba at the top of the list of players you mentioned, then OEL, Rielly, Suter, Gardiner, and Keith.
Dumba is really the guy you want.

Dont undersell D men in this league setup, especially category fillers.. Many fwds out there to get you 55 -60 points. I kept Dumba over OEL, but these 2 guys are strong in this setup. If OEL sorts out his plus minus, he's not far behind Dumba. Nurse also a gun in this format.

The guys who fill ALL the cats will go early. But a guy like Zadorov is a great get in the later rounds who can bring the goon stats. As long as you have the scoring taken care of with your Fs there are lots of bargain Ds who can give you PIMs, hits and blocks. Robert Hagg should be thugging it up. Redraft Edler if you can, hes older but exactly the type of player you are seeking. Oleksiak could be a sneaky late play. Forbort of LA will give you help from a late draft slot. Trouba and Pulock will probably go earlier than you like due to name value.in
