2018/19 Dobber Entry - Adams League

Welcome to the 2018/19 Dobber Entry Adams League!

This thread is created to enable managers (and even some non-managers) to chat about the league in general, the draft, teams and even smack talk.

The one request is that any league questions/issues remain on the league board.

A reminder of the settings:

Yahoo, One-year, Rotisserie
Daily lineups, Weekly FAAB w/ Continual rolling list tiebreak
No maximum moves/trades, Same day processing

Looking forward to my first ever ROTO league. My fantasy experience has been limited to points only (G & A) leagues so this should be interesting.
Just a small error I noticed in my user name. DAAKS not DAKKS.
2 questions I have regarding the settings, 1st what is meant by (Weekly FAAB w/ Continual rolling list tiebreak)?
And 2nd how many points or weight is assigned to each scoring category?

1. FAAB stands for Free Agent Acquisition Budget. Everyone will have $100 for the season to bid on players, rather than having a standard waiver wire/free agency. You can bid as low (even $0) or even as high as you want up to what you have remaining, and the highest bid gets that player. There are no limits to how many bids you can make during the season, but once you've used your $100, that's it. If two or more managers bid the same amount, then it goes by waiver priority (shown on the main league standings page). If you win a bid by waiver priority (essentially the 'tiebreak' part), then it will reset to the back of the pack, so to speak. e.g. your waiver priority is 2 and you win a bid on that basis, it will drop to 12. This keeps going as more bids are won by waivers, which is the 'continuous rolling list' part. Bids won by amount only (one manager has the highest bid) does not affect waiver priority. You will notice that all players not owned will have a waiver date next to them - that is when the next claim period, which should be every Monday.

2. All categories are worth the same. You get points by your ranking in each category at any given time e.g. you lead in goals, you will have 12 points in that category. You are last in assists, you'll have 1 point in that category. This can and will fluctuate all season, and it's always in relation to the other managers position in that category. All ranking points added up give you your total.

Thanks for the quick response. Just one more question regarding FAAB. If I submit a bid on a free agent and my bid is surpassed by another GM can I submit a subsequent bid thus creating a bidding war? Or do you only get 1 kick at the cat on you bid?

It's more of a silent auction thing..so you dont know what the bid is at...until it's too late

Exactly. Nobody knows who has made bids until the claims go through (once a week on a Monday). It's up to you how many bids you make, at what amounts and for how many players.

Hey all,

Someone in the Wales noticed that the draft pick clock is not showing on the settings page.

I can confirm that it's 1 minute. No idea why it's not showing on the settings page, but it shows when I go into commish tools.
