    Hey all,

Someone in the Wales noticed that the draft pick clock is not showing on the settings page.

I can confirm that it's 1 minute. No idea why it's not showing on the settings page, but it shows when I go into commish tools.

Steve’s team (now Ours is the Fleury!) Draft:
I am satisfied with my team overall. I tried to focus on players well-rounded production. I let a few players slide a little too much and missed on them (Trocheck, Pietrangelo, Provorov, Muzzin) and probably should have reached for goalies a little. I am not overly happy with my goalies, but I think I made up for it with the NJ handcuff.

1.8 – Going into the draft I was hoping Benn would slide to me at 8th, my first LW covering all stats.
2.17 – I wanted one of the big three at D here and landed Hedman.
3.32 – With all the 1 tier goalies gone, I felt I could wait a round to pick a goalie. I went with Tarasenko. I see him rebounding this season. High goals, shots and decent amount of hits
4.41 – I was hoping Trocheck would slide but he was taken a few picks before and with goalies coming off the board, I feel I need to pick one now. I went with Fleury, I wasn’t comfortable with having Murray or Gibson as my 1st goalie. Plus, I would have had to go with another team name (Ours is the Fleury!).
5.56 – With Trocheck gone, I want a center with across the board production, so I take Schenn. Maybe a bit of a reach there… Still, I am pretty happy so far with my team, one top player at each position except maybe goalies.
6.65 – A bit of a mistake here… I really was going for Letang here but with him taken with the pick just before me, I am surprised Jones is still available. I did not know about the injury… In retrospect I would have gone with Krug I think.
7.80 – Here I hope Bergeron slides to the 7th, he doesn’t so I aim at Rakell or Pacioretty. I get Patches, I expect high goal and shot totals again with a healthy amount of hits. I think I got pretty good value for him in the 7th round.
8.89 – With only one goalie on my roster I feel I need to take one now. I hesitate between Lundqvist and Price. I chose Lundqvist, I think he is going to see more games, hence more wins and saves then Price.
9.104 – With a few D picked earlier than I expected (Muzzin, Provorov, Risto) the picking starts to be slim. I want Pietrangelo but he is taken earlier in the round so I go with Giordano. Another D with good cat coverage.
10.113 – I realise Hoffman is still available and snag him up. Better team, good change at PP1 and is +/- should be better in Florida.
11.128 – I have to pick another center and Larkin is available. I expect a very good season from him and I did not think he would make it to the next round.
12.137 – I really need a RW here and Palmieri offers across the board production.
13.152 – I still have 3D slots to fill. Shattenkirk is not the usual type of D I go for (not enough shots and hits) but he is the best available at that point. His +/- might hurt a little, but over 40 pts and a shot at 50 is hard to pass at that position.
14.161 – I continue to fill my D slots. I take Klefbom, counting on a healthy season and PP1 with McDavid. Decent gamble for a 5th D.
15.176 – I was looking for a 6th D, but Trouba and Edler were taken before my pick. I don’t like the other D available for that round so I go with Toews. Probably a few rounds too early…
16.185 – Here I take a favorite of mine, Gallagher. If he stays healthy, he should produce 25ish goals along with 250 shots and a few hits.
17-18 – Need a third goalie. With Schneider still not recovered from his surgery I pick him and Kinkaid to handcuff the NJ goalies.
19.224 – Here I need to continue filling up my C. I go with Zibanejad, 1st line center with across the board production, but is +/- might hurt me… Sneaky pick if he can stay healthy.
20.233 – I finished filling my D slots. Niskanen offers 30ish points with over 100 hits.
After that, I finished filling my W slots and my bench.

Very nice layout of your draft process! I did not have as well thought out a strategy. I went with a tier system at each position. I used Dobbers guide and I printed out and analyzed the Dobber Expert tier draft as well. I was shooting for as many tier 1 guys (and few “tier 0” ie Karlsson) at each position. I also mostly targeted well rounded players but paid zero attention to +\- and took a few pure skills guys like Ehlers and Marner. I did end up with a mixed bag in goal. There is a ton of potential here but it could blow up in my face (Talbot, Hutton, Lehner, Saros). I was surprised I failed to notice Saros earlier and that he lasted until the 20th rd.

I was going to pick Saros in the 17th round, but realized I could handcuff the NJ tandem and went that way instead. I might have focused a bit too much on well-rounded players and it might cost me in terms of offense, well see.

There were a few players that slipped quite a bit in this draft compared to the earlier drafts (Bergeron, Hoffman, Atkinson, Palmieri).

I think they slipped because of the early run on D-men. I was surprised how many of them were drafted - some quite a bit higher than I had them pegged to go. That made me adjust my draft strategy to ensure I got a couple of decent D before they were all gone.

Does the league email you if you are offered a trade? I sent out a quick trade offer after the draft and the other GM has not responded...

It works... But if the other GM deactivated the option he won't receive it.
