Lehner. It seems like he fought a lot more than just the puck last year. New team, new start - he was good even when Buffalo was awful. Two goalies going in totally opposite directions if you ask me
Who would you pick if you had a choice for this year and beyond?

I think there was a thread on this question just before free agency. Now that we know both goalie situations I'll go with Lehner because I believe he's more talented, and has at least a few years experience as a starter. Darling has yet to show he can handle more than a string of games as a placeholder starter.

I agree. Go with Lehner.
Lehner and even though he's got to win the starter job, if he can do it, the team is awful, but with Trotz in charge you know they'll shore things up defensively as much as they can.

I have always been a fan of Lehner. Him being a psycho and a loose cannon is now fully understood due to his mental health challenges. I think hes going to happen this year with Trotz and Korn. They came into Washington and fixed Holtby after he had his worst season and lost his job for long stretches to Grubauer. Holtby won the Vezina the following year.
Lehner for me too

i think it is pretty much a wash. I would expect Lehner to have a better Sv% and Darling to have more wins. Given that you have Dubs and Rask, who should give you plenty of wins, go lehner to try and increase your sav%.
