So far so good. Started slow but have moved up to 4th in standings. I have solid goaltending and room for some key players to improve to their norm.

For me, it's going ok. My offense is decent and feel I can compete in most categories. Been moving up and down in the standings recently, which shows the number of categories that are still close.

With goaltending, it hurts losing Quick but hopefully I can tread water until he comes back.

So far, so good. Many categories are so bunched up that there are some points to gain and many to lose.

I've spent a ton of FAAB so far, mostly addressing hits and goalie games but I thought it best to grab guys I wanted now with some time to make an impact than hope for the future. No one's dropping Ovechkin.

I've scrabbled around for a sixth D with some PP time. I feel like there may not be a permanent solution to that situation.

I came out out of the draft optimistic and I feel no better or worse about the team one month in.

Can't complain too much so far. I'm in 5th right now, 9~ points out of 1st, and I have room for immediate growth of about 10~ points.

My forwards have been performing quite well, although I'm a bit short on hits -- the Brown injury didn't help me there, but I also need guys like Rakell, Forsberg, and Gardiner to start picking up the slack. Backstrom and Duchene have been great for me considering where I drafted them (actually, that's true for all of the Sens players I own!), and the Lehner/Greiss combo is helping make up for the otherwise slow starts of Gibson and Hellebuych (although they do continue to make lots of saves, regardless). My D's performance has been less stellar, but then again, it is nearly impossible to carry 5+ good D in this league -- I'd just like to see one of Hanifin or Matheson turn a corner soon.

I think the big challenge for my team is whether my skaters will be able to keep up this pace.

    League has gotten tight.

    1st-5th is within 4pts (72-68.5)
    6th-9th is within 4pts (60-56.5)

I'm super excited that my team has pulled out of last this month and all the way up to 9th!
My goalies are finally chugging forward at the level where I drafted them (3rd, 4th, 9th, 11th rounds!)

Nice to have 7-10 of the "top 100" players from the "Last 14 Days".
Karlsson, Laine, & co. finally putting up some points.
    SuperMantha up, up, and away!

After a terrible draft, I have to count my blessings that my team hasn't had a major injury yet this season.
Luongo down for a couple weeks.
Now Mantha out for 4-6 weeks.
    But that's it.

My team, collectively, had a really slow start.
I actually see a lot of potential in this team going forward.
Maybe... just maybe... one big Goalie-for-Skater trade away from contending!

Most importantly, I'm out of the bottom four... for now.

    37pts (last) on Nov.2
    56.5pts (T-7th) on Dec.5.
    Yeah, baby!

Horrorfan always manages to snag these the day after I lose control of 1st, LOL.

Speaking of injuries, I just hit with a bunch of them... while Lehner wheeled himself off of my IR, Forsberg, Duchene, and Rakell took his spot threefold. Eesh. Hopefully I'm healthy by Xmas or the new year.

Still, I'm holding on and in the thick of it, just 2~ points back of 1st as I write this. Finally starting to see some life out of my bottom 3 D, my main starters are performing a bit better, and Greiss/Lehner continue to provide a lot of value.

7th... meh, I can take that.
Another "temek alone in 1st" season... but 2nd-8th is quite the pack.
My skaters still suck-ass... but man, my goalie-heavy draft is actually paying off in goalie-cats.

Happy with my team's performance over the last month, going from being in a relegation battle to top 3 contention. Long way to go, and as Pengwin said, there are a bunch of us all close together.

My goal at the start of the season was to avoid relegation, so anything else would be a bonus.

After a terrible unforeseen start to the season (I was feeling pretty good about my team after the draft, + Temek's projections) where I was shocked to spend almost the entire 1st half of the season in the 12-9 relegation spots. Thankfully, a couple of tweaks, a couple of players getting healthy, and my goalies finally deciding to start stopping the puck a bit, I was able to claw my way up, getting as high as 5th, before a slight setback down to 8th.

With a decent buffer over the 9th spot, I'll see what I can do to push up the standings with the last resort goal of not falling below 8th. It's been a frustrating year to date in this league so far.

    Trade:

    Patrik Laine Wpg - LW,RW
    Traded to Doughty Deeds

    Drew Doughty LA - D
    Traded to MonsterManthas

Doughty Deeds trades away Doughty?! Say it ain't so!
