    Default Draft tomorrow

League in my signature (SHOG means shootout goals, not shots),

In the draft phase, I have the 5th overall pick. Dahlin, Svechnikov and Zadina will be gone.

Who am I most hoping won't go at #4? Hughes? Kravtsov? Wahlstrom? Boquist? Bouchard? Someone else?

    Thanks!

I'd probably say Wahlstrom then Hughes, just because it's so much harder to predict offensive Dmen and the wait is typically much longer to the fantasy-relevant production. Wahlstrom is a goal-scorer, bulk shooter who is going to eventually thrive with a center like Barzal around. After those two, I would probably rank 'em: Kravtsov, Bouchard, Boqvist, Dobson

Hughes IMO. Everything is heard is that he's as surefire as they come.

Whalstrom for me leave the dmen for others get them in two years from the owners that drafted them for a discount as they are frustrated that they haven’t played a game. A guy like Hughes likely won’t be fantasy relevant for 4 to 5 years, if ever. Look at the progression of Seth Jones and Hedman as examples they were 4 to 5 years out of their draft year before they did anything. Look at Ekblad he still hasn’t really become fantasy relevant. Stick to forwards always unless the value is there I wouldn’t draft Dahlin until Svechnikov, Zadina, Whalstrom and Tkachuk were off the board. Dahlin is the only dman I’d touch in the draft too.

    Wahlstrom.
Great talent, high end scoring. Will mature faster than a young D.

I'd go Wahlstrom then Kravtsov. Hughes will be good but probably not for at least 3 years. Both forwards here are going to be studs and probably sooner than Hughes.
