Week One Pickup

So I won week one convincingly, but I need some help at RB and especially TE. My RBs are Hunt, D. Freeman, Barber, Wilkins and Powell. Not desperation time yet, but with Freeman already banged up, it's a consideration. However, my TEs are Delanie Walker and Trey Burton. Obviously, Walker is done, and Burton was awful. Here are the available RB and TE options in my league. Help me create a waiver priority list based on need - thanks friends!

RB: Ekeler, Lindsay, Yeldon, J. Allen, Hines...other RBs with less points in week one.

TE: Dissly, J. Cook, Ebron, James, Watson, Eifert, etc...

QB: Rodgers, Rivers
RB: Cook, Howard, Conner, Ajayi, Cohen

I wouldn't waste a high priority waiver on Yeldon... Fournette has not been ruled out... so you might waste a waiver pickup on a backup?

My top priority for TE would be Watson and I would not put a waiver in for him. I am guessing if someone puts a waiver in it will be for Cook. So pick Watson up as a free agent after waivers. Esepcially when you have Burton... I never like to have two TE... unless I can start 2 TE.

As for RB... I would put a claim in for Lindsay... depending on who you would drop. but again.. I think Freeman out performs and steals more of the work.

Is it a 2 QB league... if not I would drop Rivers for Yeldon... as long as Rodgers is for sure playing this week. I never carry a 2nd QB when I have the best QB in the league in Rodgers. Would you ever sit Rodgers and start Rivers? No? Then why bother having Rivers on the roster? That is my train of thought. Now I know Rodgers is injured and playing against Minny, so I might consider starting Rivers over him this week... might!

I might also consider dropping Cohen for Yeldon. Yeldon is a more 'playable' handcuff right now. I notice that you have Howards.. so you are probably wanting to protect that asset. But if Yeldon plays a couple games IF Fournette is out he is likely a top 20 RB for those games.

I'd not be surprised if Rivers gets snapped up if you drop him. Man is his throwing motion ugly, but that dude puts up big numbers fairly regularly. So I think most teams would value having him on their bench if nothing else, and I'd much rather start him this week against the pitiful Bills than many other "bigger" names (e.g., Brady at JAX, Wilson at CHI, maybe even Watson at TEN).

And you also have to believe that owners of Stafford, Ryan, Dak, Mariota and maybe a few others are nervous and would love to roster Rivers for comfort, and with respect to everyone except Stafford, maybe even insert into the lineup weekly as the QB1.

And I'm pretty sure I'd roll with Rivers this week over Rodgers against the Vikings just to see how that injury goes. Heck, in the one league I have Rodgers in, I'm thinking of picking up and starting Keenum (vs. OAK) so I can avoid potential disaster with Rodgers and see how things go.
