    Default Bjorktrand vs Palmieri

I need to shave some cap. I was thinking of either moving Palmeiri or Bjorkstrand. Who would you rather own? (league in sig)
    $2.5m Bjorkstrand
    $4.6 Palm

I'd rather have Palmieri for $4.6m with your categories. He should be really good in that setup, probably a better all-around producer than a lot of his salary comparables. Bjorkstrand is really good, but there's a question of his deployment in the current CBJ forward group. His multi-cat production isn't really supposed to be a strength, either. His $2.5m price tag is pretty nice, but I wouldn't want keeping him to be at the expense of Palmieri.

I'm having a hard time figuring out where else you could solve some cap. How much $$ do you need to shave?

I'm currently $3,561,664 over cap. A wee bit of a pickle haha

I think Palmieri is pretty good value. Bjork I'm not as sure on, so see if you can do something with him.

Palmieri is a great player for the price IMO. I would look elsewhere to shave that money.

Palmieri for me ... if he stays healthy, he will rack up a lot of points with Hall/Hischier on NJ 1st line.

One more vote of confidence for what Palmieri does in this sort of league. Axing Bjorkstrand doesn't get you below the minimum but shaving cost-effective options like Palmieri should be a last resort.

If you're looking to compete this season, you'll need Palmieri over Bjorkstrand.

I remember you recently added Byfuglien because he's a freak in your setup, and he shouldn't have been sitting on the waiver wire ... That being said, have you explored the possibility of trading him to help ease some salary? It's a risky proposition because Buff's value is certainly diminishing as he ages into his mid-30s and beyond, but he's still got incredible value with your categories. With trades such as these, it's difficult to (1) receive proper value, (2) shave salary, and (3) get younger all at the same time, if that's what you're after.

Just looking over your roster, I don't see a lot of guys who are both expendable and whom trading would provide significant cap relief. I really hate to recommend moving him because he's going to put up numbers like few others in your league, but he's very expensive and you have to move someone out to get under the cap. Maybe try to move Rinne or MAF for a cheaper option?

In the grand scheme of things, I would probably rather move one of your goaltenders for a cheaper option (hoping there isn't too large a downgrade). But if that isn't possible, I would consider trading Byfuglien. Just have to make sure it's worthwhile. I'd probably rather outright drop a Goalie (provided there are reasonable FA options available) than have to trade Buff for peanuts just to get under the cap.

I could try and trade Buff, or just drop him for Letang and shave a few hundred grand.
