Bellows or Vesalainen?
Thinking longterm, arrival time not important, just want the better player: G, A, PPP, Hits.
Who do you like? Bellows has less in front of him and will likely play sooner, but Vesalainen could slot in alongside Scheifs once Wheeler is gone (or declines). Obviously hard to predict but who do you want right now?

Vesalainen for me. I wouldn’t over think it either...he’s a solid notch above Bellows IMO.

VesaLAINEn to Laine is just meant to be.... I see these two being a dynamic duo in a couple years... And yes... I know they are both listed as LW.... but I am sure Vesalainen will change to the other side to get to play with his fellow countryman

Laine has been playing mostly RW in the NHL. I've always thought he'd end up playing LW because he idolizes Ovechkin who also plays LW as a right-handed shot but the Jets like him on the right side more.Originally Posted by PenguinHunter
But I don't really see those two being a good fit on the same line because they're too similar as players. Laine will likely stick with Ehlers on the other side because he's a better fit for him style-wise.

Vesalainen is going to slot in with good players regardless. Jets top-six long-term (assuming the $ can work) could be:
Connor - Scheifele - Laine
Ehlers - Roslovic - Vesalainen
Any combination of those 6 is going to mean a lot of points.
