Who would you keep as your top 10?
D-men are definitely my weak area.
Is this the year Ekblad finally breaks out, or does Yandle continue to soak up all the prime opportunity?
Does Gio see a bump due to Hamilton being moved?
Is Rakell the real deal?
Does Forsberg have another gear?
How much will Dahlin hurt Risto's bottom line?
Will Smith and Calgary have a better season? If Smith can get over 30 wins this year he would be a great 3rd goalie to hold.
Thanks all!

The obvious: Andersen, Quick, Krug, Kopitar, Bergeron, Forsberg, Seguin and Benn. That's 8 in my opinion.
No, Ekblad is blocked offensively and will not break out this year.
Yes, Giordano receives a bump with Hamilton out, but there is still Brodie and now Hanifin to compete with. I don't expect a return to big offensive numbers, but a little bump offensively is likely.
Yes, Rakell is a sweet complementary player in a good situation. Back to back 30 goal seasons, a lock for 60 pts. Man, on a deeper look, with your settings, I think I would make Rakell my 9th keeper.
Dahlin will limit Ristolainen's offensive opportunities, but he'll still be valuable with hits/blocks.
Yes, Calgary is shaping up to have a better season and I think Smith will be a key part of that.
Okay, so I'd be adding Rakell to your protected list, which leaves 1 protection left. I think I would roll the dice with Evander Kane. If your league counted penalty minutes, it would be a slam dunk, but with his insane SOG and nice hits, PPTOI and general situation (including his contract status), I would keep E.Kane as your 10th protection.

The only real surprise I am seeing so far is not keeping Ristolainen, which would leave me with only 1 keeper D (Krug) in a league that rosters 6 D per night, and keeping E. Kane instead. E. Kane was an absolute beast for most of the season (slowed down last month or two in Buffalo), but do we think he will resume beast mode this season in San Jose?
And damn only keeping one D means I will have to redraft 6-7 in the leagues redraft. Yikes.... I draft 10th and 11th (winner of league drafts last) in snake draft which could fill in 2 D real quick I suppose.
Thanks guys, keep the opinions coming

You make a strong case for keeping Ristolainen. I still think he does okay, just less points from the PP. There is a chance that Dahlin doesn't run with it right away. Keeping Ristolainen over E.Kane might be a better choice with the number of D you roster. And who knows, now that Kane has been paid...!!
