Default Keep Larkin at 6.1$M or cut loose

I was hoping for under 6M but its close to that. Now its a tossup if I want to roll with Larkin or trade him for some assets. Ya its his 4th year and he's gonna get star treatment with PP time, but I'm just no sold on him. Would love to have him at 4.5M,ad 1.6 Mill is a difference maker for me.

So do I keep him or shop him?

Keep him. Dump any of Carter, JVR, Ekholm, Hank, heck even Kane with your categories, before you look into dumping Larkin.

I second this. With Zetterberg possibly done for good, Larkin is their clear #1C with not much in the pipeline to challenge him in the short term.

I think having $23M in goalies is more the issue than the extra $1.6M that Larkin got above your $4.5M number. I'd be keeping Larkin looking to solve my cap issues elsewhere.

I agree. Lundy and Price are dead weight is you ask me. That's $17m right there that you can cut.

Keep. He’s a stud, just turned 22 a few days ago. This contract is going to be major value as soon as this year.

Keep - he practically played at the contract level last season already and that was without double digit PPPts and little help around him. Just wait until he really gets going.

Agree here too, Larkin going to get #1 PP opportunities - the 6.1 may end up being a bargain, look at Scheifle

moving forward 60pts is basically his floor meaning he's very rosterable in cap leagues for another 5 years. Dump dead weight instead

As many others have said, your salary issue is mostly in net.

Dump Niemi. Shop Price. Hope that solves things.

Is Larkin ahead of the other 3 plaers below?

would you try to educe salcap pressure to drop/trade off:

    Larkin
Nylander if AAV is over 7
    Kane
    Palmieri

or very hard to deal for anything:
    Lundqvist
Price rock bottom now -I cant deal him though I hate him

    Which Kane is that?
The other three I like on their contracts. Would drop Carter over any of the others actually.
Might also consider cutting loose Ekholm if that saves you enough space.

Maybe Palmieri, since he's 25% less in salary and pretty decent in multicat. But I wouldn't fault you for sticking with Larkin either. It's a close one.

I got E Kane at 7M which isn't bad if he come through and plays nasty. I am trying to trade him to Kane lover but have to get a decent return which is had since everyone overvalues their players. I guess me too.
