Krug vs OEL

Hi everyone! Looking for advice on my one dman Ill be keeping.

Krug per Dobber will hit around 60 this year, and he is on one of the most lethal pp lines in hockey, but you have to wonder down the road McAvoy will take over.

OEL projected for 45 with a smidge of a higher ceiling than Krug may or may not hit that with the improvement of the Yotes.

You keep Krug. McAvoy is a great young talent, but he will not be supplanting Krug in Boston any time soon. McAvoy hopes that one day he can be as good as Krug. Krug is one of the best PP quarterbacks in the game. 59 points in 76 games last season, and he started the season injured and playing with a half mask. He didn't even look like himself for the first 15-20 games due to the injury and wearing the cage and he still put up a 60+ point pace. He is 27, in his prime, and quarterbacking one of the best PP's in the league. Don't over think this.

I do like OEL, and I agree that if the stars all align and he finds his game again he has the potential to put up a similar season, but IMO Krug is the much safer horse to back here.

OEL is overrated in most fantasy formats IMO and doesn't come close to Krug in a points only pool.

OEL is better in a goal-bonused format since he generally scores 15+ goals. In straight points, Krug is better.

In real NHL, give me OEL all day long.. But in fantasy, points only, I think I will take Krug!!

Not an easy one, but I do think the Yotes will have a great year ans OEL his the QB PP1, so with Keller and Chucky, I think he will put a massive season...in my opinion.

Krug is amazing too, but I prefer OEL a little for now and years to come.

Krug had 37 points in his final 42 games and gets DREAM deployment for fantasy. He's the pick here.

That's what we're here for. OEL has lost some of his luster of late, but he could be the guy in a couple of years, since by then the Bs will likely let Krug walk as a UFA and hand the reins over to McAvoy. Krug should still do okay where he lands, but will be starting to enter his declining years.

Krug is somewhere near the top 5 in points only d-men rankings I have. OEL is somewhere in the 10-15 range. Keep Krug.

Krug is a great pick. Some GMs aren't as high on him, thinking McAvoy is ready to steal his cushy spot on PP1. Others think of Krug as a PP specialist. I think Boston won't fix what isn't broken. Krug stays PP1. Gets 60 points. Clear winner over OEL in every format imo.
