Mikko Koskinen for a 2nd and 3rd round pick

Hey guys. I own Mikko Koskinen and I stashed him on my farm. Does anyone think he will do great this year with the Oilers? I was offered a 2nd and 3rd round pick in our 2019 prospect draft. Goalies are worth alot in our league. My 3 goalies are Bobrovsky, Raanta and Darling. Koskinen, because he has less than 25 NHL games under his belt, I have on my farm and I can leave him there if I choose. Should I accept the offer or wait and see? Thanks guys

I'd rather roll the dice with Koskinen than those 2nd and 3rd round picks.

I would say there's a very good chance Koskinen hits 25 games this year. He's getting paid good money and will get his chance, and unless he's a total flop he'll get a healthy amount of games for a non-starter.

I don't know if a 2 and 3 is worth it, but keep in mind that Koskinen might be out of your hands by next year anyways, assuming he doesn't become prominent this year. It depends how much you think you need him this year. I'm not sure he has an easy route to a starting job.

What number will those picks be approximately? If you are in a 10 or 12-team league I might cash in Koskinen.

I'd wait. It's unlikely his value drops much before you know more. Right now, he's at 4 games played. So he needs to get into 22 games this year for him not to be farm-eligible.

If he grabs the backup job, his value likely goes up, even if he just plays okay. If he doesn't get the backup job, and is in the AHL, he likely isn't getting into 22 games.

I'm thinking even if Talbot is injury free the plan is not to overwork him so Koskinen should see 20-25 games .

I think he could get on a roll like Anders Nilsson does every once in awhile before eventually crashes back down to earth

I'm with Daydream Nation. A little more info is needed on the picks. How many teams and where are those picks in the draft? The 2019 draft isn't predicted to be nearly as deep as this past draft so I'd want more info before coming to a decision.
