Voracek, Getzlaf, Stastny?

Apologies for all the posts. Just bored in the off season haha

Based on the cats and team in my sig, would you rather have?
$8.25m Vorecek, $8.25m Getzlaf or $7m Stastny?

I think I can make it work to have one of these guys on my team.

Based off the team in your signature, Voracek. Normally I would need to ask about how many you start per position but based off your strength at C and major weakness on the wing, you gotta take Voracek.

You're centers are stacked and the rest of your team looks pretty solid but your wingers only have Dubios and Hertl who MIGHT break 50pts next year. I know this is your cheaper salary part of your team, but until you beef up your starters it will be hard for you to compete. Voracek is dramatically younger than Getzlaf and well Stastny isn't on there level.

Voracek is over Getzlaf only because of depth. You have almost no wingers.

with FOW.. give me Getz. he's pretty much a 75pt lock - Voracek is a lot more volatile year to year. Getz is an elite FOW C.

Id target Voracek here. You have good depth at C but could use a stud on the W.

2. Given your roster, I'd go Voracek over Getzlaf, both of whom seem reasonable.

If it is purely based on your roster, Voracek would indeed be a reasonable choice.

Would you rather have $8.2m Getzlaf or $10m Kopitar? I just picked up Letang who was on waivers, so might need to shave some cap haha Was also thinking of switching $8m Vorecek for $5m Skinner, Palmeiri or Brown? Obvioulsy not as elite as Vorecek but they put up decent numbers, Brown for multicats.

Getzlaf for me, since Voracek has yet to put together two great years in a row, whereas Getz is perennially elite.

I don’t think you should let your roster construction dictate which asset you keep in this situation. Personally, with these categories Getzlaf is clearly the more valuable player. He covers far more categories, and at the same price point as Voracek I don’t really think it’s a close comparison.

What you should do, instead, is make some trades. There would absolutely be interest for Getzlaf / Voracek type players, and you would be able to simultaneously (1) get appropriate value for your assets, and (2) fill out positional needs on the roster. As others have said, your wingers are definitely lacking compared to the center position. You’re going to want to address that, but not by letting Getzlaf walk.

^This... And definitely Palmieri over Voracek. Palmy hits a ton more and if healthy might even match points this year next Hall.

It's a close one for Getzlaf and Voracek. You can choose Voracek because of depth but you also have to consider the fact that Getzlaf is one of the elite players.
