Seems a tad high for what looks to be quite simply a 50 point player, especially now that he's 28 years old and unlikely on the upswing any longer. Maybe if this was 3 years I could see the wisdom, but five - nope. Then again, the Ducks are one of the few teams where 28 makes you seem young by comparison to the other top six forwards.

Kesler is a tough pill to swallow for them. I loved him in Vancouver but he hasn't been the same since their run back in 2010. The hip injury that he played through ruined the rest of his career.

I think Henrique at this price is actually pretty reasonable considering that he can play a solid second line C. Term - yeah questionable. I think it's more the total sum of their top 3 centers' salaries that makes this particularly rough.
