Shocking sad news. He was definitely a unique character and one of the more colorful personalities to play in the league in recent memory. Though his stats never really were eye popping and he could be a hot head he was a very passionate player who seemed like he would do anything for his teamates. RIP Ray!

Ray Emery died at age 35 in an apparent drowning accident.
Always sad to read news like this. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

There are a couple of threads on this but yeah, very sad.
I am curious to find out how or why he drowned. Did he hit his head on something or get tangled up?
