    Default LaBanc vs Kase

Straight points with salary (not cap-hit). I am curious about the follow:

Who has more points next year?

    Who has the higher upside?

If you could only have one for the next 5 years, who do you pick?

My gut says LaBanc but that is mainly based off the fact that Kase is from Europe and it's very difficult to judge statistics from some European leagues vs how we can judge statistics from the CHL.

Thanks in advance for any help! I can only draft one of them and I am having a very hard time deciding who.

Kase, Kase, and more Kase. I think he only showed a glimpse of what he's capable of. I think he has a coming out party next year and he's a top 6 scorer for the long haul.

Oh man I don't know... Labanc is a very underrated player in his own right. This one could end up very close. I feel like Labanc ends up being like Ray Whitney... the guy who all of a sudden has 65+ pt seasons and no one seems to notice...

As a Labanc owner I'm hoping for him but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up being a wash

Here's the way I see it, LaBanc has almost no defensive skill which means he is going to always be in a top 6 roll. Kase from what I've heard (haven't actually really seen him as much) is ok which means he could be pushed down to the 3rd. I think that LaBanc in this kase (sorry) is the better pick only due to usage

Kase 100%. He did very well in a limited role last year (38 pts in 66 games) and may get a greater opportunity this season with increased ice time.

I will actually disagree here in that if players can't hold their own a little defensively, they won't make the Show; especially young players trying to prove themselves and who weren't of golden boy status, like first-rounders or expensive imports, etc. I think if Labanc ends up sucking too much in the defensive end, they don't play him at all. To play 16+ mins a night, ya gotta play some defense. Otherwise, you become a tweener, like Joe Blandisi...

Wondering why you are so bullish. He has two other RWs to beat out for top spot; is he that good? Do they make room for him by shifting the positions around? The stats don't lie; he did very well in limited minutes..
