Panarin for me. Panarin's worst year is Tank's best when it comes to points so give me the more consistent guy.

Give me the Breadman. It's funny how many thought his career would fizzle by going to CBJ.

Right!? And it was a considerable amount surprisingly... Anyone who watched this kid for more than a game or two/just his highlights could tell you he's the real deal.

All I heard was "He benefits from playing with Kane so his point totals are inflated" yet Kane's 2 best seasons of his career were the one's he played along side the Breadman

It's for the league in my sig. But I just want people's general feeling back how well they'll produce offensively but at ES and PP, but SOG also important. Not relying on them for anything else like hits or whatnot.

It's so close, you can't go wrong with either, I'd say take the positional need. Need a RW, take Tank, need a LW, take Panarin.

    Hmmm, I don't know.
On the surface, we look at last year's stats and say Panarin(82) vs Tarasenko(66)... oh, def Panarin.

I was going to say Tarasenko.

re: Tank. He had 73-74-75-66 progression. First instinct is to look at the 66 and say "Oh no, there's something wrong with him!!". His SH% last four years is 14.0-13.7-13.6-10.8.
He actually put up more shots last year (306) than any previous year. The difference between his career average of 14% and last year's 10.8% is... 10g. That puts him at 76pts.
On top of that, Tank had just 16ppp last year... previous years 18-24-22.
Most PP1 superstars are going to be in the 25-35 range.
If Tank puts up 25ppp last year, now he's at 86pts... and now his progression is 73-74-75-86. That's just on normalizing his SH% and his PPP output.
The other thing I love is that STL has a bonafide playmaker in Robert Thomas on the way. He has the potential to be the Kuznetsov/Backstrom to Tarasenko.

Meanwhile, I love Panarin, he's right there.
His 77-74-82 matches up well... and even Panarin had a down year for SH%... he could've been even better.
If Panarin shoots at his typical 14%... he's up near 90pts.

My big worry comes in that Panarin is not likely to be with CBJ next year.
Both Panarin and Bobrovsky are UFAs. Rumour is... both will sign elsewhere.
We normally look at teams and say "Oh, if a guy chooses where he signs, he should be happy & better there."
Maybe... or maybe they take their big payday and stop playing so hard.
Or maybe they join a contender with so much depth that Panarin's minutes fall a bit.

I, personally, don't like that risk.
For me, Tarasenko is still a 75-80 player. He had one off year.
I'll take that point total and be averse to the Panarin-risk.
    Tank for me.

I would rather have Tarasenko in this format. In a points only pool I would go with Panarin, I think Pengwin provides some good perspective though.

This is close but I like the Breadman here. The Blues added a ton of depth which will cut into Tarasenko's numbers. He's more of a 70-75 pointer to begin with ... Bread is in the 80 class for me. I thought he would take a huge hit in Columbus and he didn't - he will be nasty anywhere because his skills are up there with the best in the game, yes the best. In the right situation, Panarin could score 95 points - I honestly believe that. Actually, it's a crying shame the Blues couldn't get him, because Bread-Tank would be grotesque.

Tarasenko for me unless it's a h2h league, then I would lean towards Panarin. Panarin's insane second half last year probably won a lot of people championships (like me).

Voted "even" because I think it is too close to call.

    F1: Voracek, Giroux, Couturier
