go with Quick. He's about as steady as goalies come. Talbot is going to be challenged for the starting job this year and will drop starts just due to who the second goalie is.

Currently in a win now situation lost last season by 1 point, just got offered Quick straight up for Talbot, should I stick with Talbot and hope for a bounce back season from EDM or go with the steady Quick.

Tough one. Quick is reliable when healthy but when Talbot is on, he's the better option IMO. Both are a bit of a gamble.
I guess I'd stick with Quick and hope for the best. I do think Talbot can bounce back next year but the safe play is Quick.

Jonathan Quick has been one of the best goalies in the league for the past 7-8 years. Talbot has had maybe 2 - 2 1/2 good seasons under his belt and just came off a terrible one. Quick would be my guy here.
I'd go with a proven veteran so I would definitely choose Quick. He has a more reliable record compared to Talbot.
wait your sig says you have Quick (nice tandem btw lol, looks familiar). did you make the deal? if so, nice. if we've got it backwards, my advice is still quick over talbot. talbot and the oilers haven't proven themselves enough and i'd rather the steady quick than the risky upside gamble in talbot.

Why would he trade you Quick for Talbot? Is he an Oilers fan? Just curious from his point of view. Does this GM win a lot in your pool?
I think Quick will play less this year. LA will bring up a younger goalie to try and groom.
Absolutely go with Quick, you made the right choice. Quick has been a model of consistency in the league for the last several years. GAA of 2.45 or better since 2010-2011 and is a lock for at least 0.915 sv%. I take him comfortably over Talbot vs hoping Talbot gets back to his season year before last.
