I don't believe the money really matters here. Either way it's a one-year deal so Lehner has a lot to prove this year.

time to prove himself. I never believed in him as a top goalie prospect but lets see what he can do

A very low risk signing for the Islanders, IMO. In an ideal world, he over-performs and can be flipped for some assets.
