Some chatter out of Montreal radio this afternoon is that Montreal is chatting with the penguins in regards to M.P.

According to Eklund, Pacioretty is 100% getting dealt and that Florida is the leading candidate. Tampa and Nashville are also possible candidates.



Has Eklund ever been right on a rumor? He apparently has "inside sources".

If this is true, I would imagine that Maata would be a player being discussed as part of any return.

Bergevin is caught so much in 2010 that he's asking for Fleury and Kunitz for MaxPac

Montreal radio stirring the pot all morning with thoughts that a Chicago Montreal deal would be great. Max P deal including one of DeBrincat or Schmaltz moving the other way........
Chi. has 9 million in cap space.
If I could move Max for the cat, I would be all over that.
I believe Schmaltz can play both center or wing.

That sounds like a terrible deal for the Blackhawks but sounds like a deal they might actually do.

Montreal HAS TO find either top six center or a top 4 type Dman of some sort in any trade for Pacioretty. They won't get a ton for Pacioretty but those two positions have to be key in any return or this trade is just another wasted move of a valued asset by Bergevin.
