I 100% agree with the kicker strategy. Unless you get like the top kicker in the last couple of rounds.

I personally didn't think there was anyone good in that area that was more beneficial than jaxD

Just curious, do most people wait until the last two rounds to grab a DEF and kicker?? Or have strategies changed in drafts?? Like I said, just curious!! I usually wait and it usually pans out for me..
This laegely depends on the amount of weekly adds. If you have only 3 or 4 weekly adds and you wait late in a D and Kicker then decide to stream that?s a large chunk of your adds. But if you have lots of weekly adds I would wait. A couple years back Denver was the D to get from their previous season and they sucked. As long as my league has a decent amount of adds I don?t waste draft capital on TE, QB, D and K. In that order.

Most people will say leave defense until the end, but if you need a solid starting lineup I'd rather take a reliable defense than a 3rd string RB who I could likely leave on the wire for weeks and pick up later anyways. That being said, there is aaaaaalways at least 1-2 people who take a D before round 12 so the decisions is somewhat made for me. Last year I took Jacksonville in the 15th round, worked out amazingly... that was a good/lucky year. My logic was they had that awesome tandem of corners, and even if Jacksonville isn't winning games there would be plenty of QBs who would feed them interceptions. Drafting defenses is kind of like drafting goalies in hockey. Burning an earlier pick on them is inherently risky but could still hugely impact your team all year.

With respect to kickers, I actually recommend a different strategy (Assuming your league rules allow for it). Unless you are drafting within 48 hours of kickoff Week1, I would not even draft a kicker and hold another player. I know this is basically the opposite of what I just said about drafting a defense, but there is A LOT of variability in kickers. Especially with the new rules last year increasing the distance for the extra point. There will inevitably be a season ending injury before the year starts and I'd rather hold that extra QB or an extra RB as a lottery ticket through the pre-season. Then, on week1, let your most droppable player go for whichever kicker you are planing on streaming. One of my longest standing leagues actually removed the kicker position because of how random the position was.
i like that strategy. And a few of us did it in my leagues one year and the next year both leagues voted that you had to draft a full roater. One guy in one league went as far as not drafting a QB, D and kicker

I figured the reason we are doing this draft is for practice and to learn. So for you to have Henry who isn’t gonna get drafted in our leagues is taking away from the procedure. So it’s all good. No need to be aorry!

Unlike real drafts, you won't get 3 chances to draft a player though ;-)
