Aho for me
It's pretty close, I'd probably go with Granlund. It's practically a coin-flip for me though.

For next season Granlund for me but definitely a re evaluate after that. Long term (3-5 years) I'd prefer Aho.

IR (2 max):
This is the definition of a coin-flip for me. I'd take Granlund purely because he's on the better team and should have better linemates/support. Long-term and in terms of inherent ability I'd probably take Aho, but considering their situations I'd take Granlund in the short-term.
Close but I prefer Aho as well.

Both are good but if they are both on the board I take Aho first every time, that top line in Carolina will be crazy dangerous in a couple years with Svechnikov on the horizon.
That and I don't trust the Wild to be a high scoring team plus the guys around Granlund (Staal, Koivu, Parise) are getting up there in age.

Vote for Aho
Granlund for me.
I think Minnesota is an incredible unsexy team to invest in... wheras Carolina IS sexy right now.
Granlund has a 69 & 67pt seasons in last two... and the 67pt was in 77gp... 4pt in 5gp, gives him 71pts... and at 70+, we might be singing a different tune.
I think Aho is sexy because he is rising, in just two years he has gone 49pts, then 65pts, so we expect him to jump to about 75pts next.
Maybe, maybe not... Carolina is actually a bit deep and still without a bonafide C1 really.
We do have to consider that Lindholm was sort of their C2... and he's moving on.
So - who is the new C2? Is it Aho? Because IF it is... there's defensive responsibility there and that actually holds young players back from scoring as much as they would as wingers.
Aho's last 15gp, suggest the Canes intend for him to play at C1 or C2.
This, two-way center responsibility, nipped MacKinnon (and many bailed on him too early)...
And it held Granlund from breaking out at a younger age.
IDK - if we are betting on better two out of three... I'm going Granlund for 70-70-70.
If Aho shifts to center, I think he might be closer to 62-68-73 over three years.
